FAQ

Pricing Questions, Answered

Everything restaurant owners ask about cost, scope, and what happens after launch.

How long does it take to build a restaurant website?

Most projects are completed in 3–6 weeks from the date you sign off on the proposal. The main variables are project scope (number of pages and integrations), how quickly you can provide content and photography, and how fast you review and respond to design feedback. Simple single-location websites typically run 3–4 weeks. More complex projects with custom design systems, multiple integrations, or multi-location architecture take 5–8 weeks. The biggest factor in timeline is always client feedback speed — the faster you review and provide consolidated feedback, the faster we move.

Do I need to provide photography?

You don't need to have professional photography to get started — but it does make a significant difference to the final result. Here's how we approach it: if you have existing photos (even iPhone shots), send them over and we'll work with what you have, selecting the strongest images for each section. If your photography is limited, we can recommend professional food and hospitality photographers in your area and build the photography shoot into your project timeline. For clients without any photography, we can also use curated stock imagery as a placeholder and swap in your real photos once they're ready — so the website can launch on schedule. Whatever your situation, we'll make a plan that works.

Can you integrate with our online ordering system?

Yes — integrating your existing ordering and reservation systems is one of our core services. We work with all the major hospitality platforms including Toast, Square, Clover, and other POS-based ordering systems; reservation platforms like OpenTable, Resy, Tock, and Yelp Reservations; third-party delivery links for DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub; and direct online ordering solutions. Our goal is to embed your booking and ordering flows directly into your website so guests never experience a jarring redirect. If you use a platform not listed here, just ask — chances are we can work with it. The specifics of what's possible depend on each platform's API and embed capabilities.

What if I have multiple locations?

Multi-location restaurant groups are one of our specialties. Rather than building separate websites for each location (a maintenance nightmare), we architect a unified web presence with a shared brand system and individual location pages. Each location page has its own unique content: address, hours, phone number, parking information, and local SEO markup. Menus can be managed centrally with per-location overrides for items, pricing, or seasonal specials. Group-wide content — announcements, promotions, careers — lives in one place and applies everywhere. Our Multi-Location plan is designed specifically for groups with 2 or more locations, and the architecture scales as you open new locations.

What happens after the website launches?

Every project includes a post-launch support period (30 days on Starter, 90 days on Growth) where we handle bug fixes, content adjustments, and questions at no extra charge. After that, you have options: you can manage the site yourself — we provide full documentation and a handover walkthrough so you're never dependent on us — or you can sign up for one of our monthly maintenance plans. Maintenance plans cover content updates (menu changes, hours, event listings), security and dependency updates, performance monitoring, and priority support for urgent changes. Pricing depends on the level of support you need. Many clients prefer the peace of mind of knowing their website is always up-to-date without having to think about it.

Why should I choose a restaurant specialist over a general web agency?

A general web agency can build you a website. But they're building websites for dentists, accountants, and software companies at the same time — their templates and thought processes are generic by necessity. Restaurant websites have very specific success patterns: how a menu is presented, where the reservation CTA must appear, how atmosphere photography builds anticipation, what a guest needs to find in 10 seconds when they're deciding where to eat tonight. We've studied and optimised all of these patterns. We know that PDF menus frustrate mobile users. We know that hours should be impossible to miss. We know which integrations actually work smoothly and which create friction. Specialization means faster execution, fewer wrong turns, and a final product specifically engineered for the problem you're trying to solve: getting guests through your door.
